Install the Comark test build

During the private beta, testers install Comark 1.4.2 the developer way — it takes about a minute and works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, or Arc.

Install in Chrome

  1. Download the test build and unzip it. You'll get a comark-beta folder (keep it somewhere permanent — deleting it removes the extension).
  2. Open chrome://extensions in a new tab.
  3. Turn on Developer mode (toggle, top right).
  4. Click Load unpacked and choose the comark-beta folder.
  5. Open the puzzle-piece menu in the toolbar and pin Comark so it's always visible.

Then start commenting

  1. Click the Comark icon → sign in with your email (we send a 6-digit code). Or, if a teammate sent you an invite link, open it to join their team. Prefer Slack? You can connect a Slack workspace instead — it's optional.
  2. On any web page, press C (or use the toolbar) and click an element — or select some text — to leave a comment.
  3. Invite a teammate from the ⋯ menu → Team & invites, and try Share for review (⋯ menu) to send someone a view-only link to the page and its comments — no install required on their end.
